The initiation of freshmen into students has become a traditional event at RSMU. This day is one of the most joyful and most exciting for both first-graders and professors.

Over the years the freshmen ceremony has developed its own special traditions, in particular, various quests and competitions organized by senior students.

Addressing first-year students with a welcoming speech, Rector Roman E. warned that studying at University would be anything but simple. He emphasized: “Developing the skills and knowledge necessary to practice medicine requires a great deal of time and effort. I wish you further success in studies, science, sport, arts and work. May your most brave ideas come true and the mountains of knowledge be conquered! All the best!”.

After parting words, Rector presented RSMU students with personalized medical gowns for special merits in studies and social activities. The Faculty of International Students nominee was Mohammadi Farhad (Afganistan), a 5th year dentistry student.

The hearty atmosphere of the event was made by RSMU talented senior students who presented a festive performance. The culmination of the event was the uttering of the freshmen vow. By tradition, the event concluded with the presentation of the symbolic key of knowledge, student card and medial gown.

We wish RSMU first-graders health, success, prosperity, fruitful work for the benefit of the University. Let the coming academic year be the year of achievements, professional and personal victories! Wish you diligence, insistence and good luck!
