On May 19 a concert dedicated to the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Faculty of International Students was held. Among guests there were many professors and officials from University departments and students of all faculties.

The opening speech was made by the FOIS Dean, Professor Viktor Okorokov who reminded the guests about the landmarks of the faculty`s history beginning with its foundation in 1997.

Galina Peshkova, the Faculty Dean from 2004 to 2007, made her welcome speech looking back at the history of FOIS creation and development.

Students had prepared a concert program with songs and dances and finished it with a festive fashion show and a joint performance of the unofficial anthem of peace and friendship of peoples – “We are the world” song.

As a part of the anniversary celebration a series of competitions had taken place: Open Football Tournament “RIFT”; Olympiad on Cardiorespiratory Reanimation, Electrocardiogram and Roentgenogram Reading; Interfaculty Quiz “Erudite”. Winners and laureates of the competitions were awarded with prizes and memorabilia during the concert.
We wish the Faculty to prosper and have a no less interesting and rich life than it has had for the past 25 years!
